"Color and Strokes are the tools that I use for my artwork to convey a sense of energy, rhythm and movement "
Vinita Jain was born and brought up in India. She has been settled in
the U.S. and in North Carolina for the past ten years and this is
where she was first introduced to pastels. Art has been her passion
since childhood and she worked as a Graphic Designer in India. After
coming to North Carolina, she took courses in Drawing and Color Theory
at Meredith College and since then has taken pastel classes and workshops with renowned artists.
Vinita works
with soft pastels and has recently started working with Acrylics. She enjoys the spontaneity and vivid colors of the
medium. She is
influenced and inspired by the works of Impressionists, especially
Edgar Degas, Van Gogh and likes to work in a free and spontaneous manner.
